Connecting device via Bluetooth

This page provides instructions how to create a Bluetooth connection with the device.

Android

  1. Open device Settings and tap Connections
  1. Switch Bluetooth on
  1. Tap Bluetooth
  1. Leave the Bluetooth view open to keep device visible to other devices
  1. Enable Bluetooth on the computer
  1. Open Tools > Bluetooth devices... from PiceaServices Switch application.
  1. Wait that the device is shown. Press the Pair button. If device is not shown, repeat the search.
  1. Verify the code in computer matches the code on the device and press Yes button
  1. Accept pairing request by tapping ok button on the device screen when prompted
  1. Pairing is completed. Press Back button to return to the previous screen.
  1. Keep an eye on the device screen. Accept contacts access request by tapping Allow button on the device screen when prompted.

If Bluetooth connection fails after the pairing, follow these steps:

  • Press the button Unpair under device image in Switch - Bluetooth devices to remove Bluetooth pairing between the device and the computer

  • Open Bluetooth settings on the device. Find the computer name from the list of trusted devices and delete de.

  • Start pairing again following the instructions above. Make sure the device screen is not getting locked during the pairing process. If screen is locked, the Contacts request is not displayed.
