USB MTP mode selection

To make all device content visible, a correct USB mode must be selected.
Instructions vary based on the device.

Xiaomi Android 8.x and earlier

  1. Connect device to the computer using a USB cable. Swipe down from top of the device screen to open Android notification panel
  1. Tap Tap for more options
  1. Tap Transfer files or Transferring files
  1. MTP USB mode has now been enabled
  1. You can check the status by swiping down from top again

To check Android version, open device Settings, find About phone and check the Android version field.
